Verderflex has released the Smart industrial pump for low-pressure dosing.
Capable of handling viscous, abrasive or chemically aggressive liquids, it is suitable for applications requiring frequent tube changes.
This is because the pump has a top-loading tube-clamping mechanism to make tube changeovers quick and easy.
An automatic clamp locks the tube in place and each unit has an integral safety interlock that automatically stops the pump whenever the saddle is opened.
Every Verderflex Smart pump can drive up to four heads from the same common pump controls, using a clear, easily accessible, backlit display.
Each head delivers the same flow rate, as they all run at the same speed.
This is a far more cost-effective option than using four independent pumps, and also saves space.
This robust pump is designed for applications requiring accurate and repeatable dosing, across a wide range of industrial sectors, including pharmaceutical manufacture and chemical processing.
It can be controlled manually with on/off, clockwise/anti-clockwise operation and speed control buttons big enough to allow the pump to be operated even when the user is wearing gloves.
It can also be remotely controlled through in-process sensors such as 4 to 20mA current loops, or can run pre-programmed batches stored in the pump's memory setup, using the simple and easy-to-use menu structure.
The Verderflex Smart is available with a choice of pump heads, delivering flow rates from 0.25ml/min up to 27 litres/min, with working pressures up to 4bar, depending on the tube size and material being used.
The pump head is manufactured from the chemical-resistant polymer, POM, and anodised aluminium; the control unit is housed in a robust IP55- rated powder-coated aluminium enclosure.
Verderflex Smart pumps are supplied with a three-roller head as standard; a six-roller low-pulsation option is also available.
