Metrohm has revealed an automated system that will analyse various parameters to the relevant EPA specification, and meet ISO and DIN requirements.
These parameters are pH, conductivity, alkalinity/acidity, hardness, colour, turbidity and ion selective measurement (fluoride, ammonia chloride).
Aliquots of each parameter are accurately pipetted into titration vessels using Dosino technology.
The various analyses are carried out in parallel: while the titrations are being carried out, sample is being transferred for the measurement of turbidity and colour.
For the colour analyses, the sample is passed through a 45-micrometre inline filter, so no sample preparation is required for the system.
The analyst only has to place the samples on the carousel, load the sample queue and press start.
The system has built-in pumps to clean the electrodes and measuring vessels, so there is no danger of sample memory or carryover.
The system is controlled by Tiamo software that can interact with LIMS and back up data to network drives.
