Volumetric KF titration is used to measure water content in toiletries, which dissolve easily in general solvents, and can therefore be titrated with no sample preparation.
The test method can measure: skin lotion, hair tonic, hair lotion, milky lotion, shampoo and conditioners.
The 890 Titrando package allows a one-button start function if required, making it ideal for on-plant analysis and QC laboratories.
Reagents commonly used are Hydranal Composite 5 from Riedel de Haen and methanol as the solvent.
