Nickel-Electro, the UK-based manufacturer of the Clifton range of temperature control equipment, has extended its range of heated ultrasonic baths to include four industrial-strength models.
The company is offering the SW12H, the SW30H, the SW45H and the SW90H with 12-, 30-, 45- and 90-litre capacities respectively.
With stainless-steel casework, the high-performance baths are designed for continuous operation in laboratories.
Features include: a sweep function to ensure even distribution of ultrasonic activity; an auto-degassing function for liquid changes in the tank; decarbonating and degassing HPLC solutions; and an ultrasonic boost function for 25 per cent more sonic power when required.
Special ceramic heating elements are electronically triggered by changes in liquid levels.
Housed inside the unit, they automatically reduce energy demand to prevent overheating and mean that the baths are safe to run dry.
Once set, the temperature is controlled ultrasonically.
The baths have is a choice of timer settings and a permanent 'on' position with an auto-switch-off after 12 hours if no keys have been activated; there is an indicator to display remaining time.
Other features include: a drainage facility; splash-proof handles with a drip bar to prevent spills and drips landing on temperature and timer dials; and lifting handles.
Melvin Dickson, managing director of Nickel-Electro, said: 'The industrial strength ultrasonic baths are something our research and development programme has been perfecting in response to customer demand for more robust equipment for continuous use.'
