Accelerated Technology Laboratories (ATL), supplier of laboratory information management systems (LIMS), has introduced the ATL Bulldog: a next-generation laboratory informatics platform.
According to the company, the ATL Bulldog will deliver a LIMS and provides a flexible environment that is built on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft.NET 3.5.
The platform is also claimed to deliver in the area of LIMS administration and security, with a number of user-configurable features.
The ATL Bulldog framework is an SOA solution built upon the Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), which gives users the ability to configure the business rules to match their organisation's requirements, rather than modifying their way of doing business to map to a software application.
The platform utilises Microsoft Clickonce deployment technology to facilitate installation and upgrades.
The ATL Bulldog LIMS will be released in the second half of 2009.
Bulldog is the internal code name for this project and will be used until the formal product naming and packaging is announced later this year.
