Shimadzu Scientific Instruments will display new products and hold a series of seminars at the 57th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry (to be held 1-4 June in Philadelphia).
It will also hold a press conference and run poster presentations at the event.
Shimadzu will introduce the Axima Resonance mass spectrometer for the structural characterisation and sequencing of biomolecules.
The Axima Resonance ensures confident, high-quality results with high mass resolution and mass accuracy across MS and MSn analyses, variable-energy CID control on the fly, high-resolution precursor ion selection up to 1000 FWHM and efficient trapping functionality.
Other products to be highlighted at ASMS 2009 include: the Maldi mass spectrometers; the LCMS-IT-TOF mass spectrometer; the LCMS-2020 single-quad mass spectrometer; the CHIP-1000 chemical printer; the Prominence HPLC Front Ends (2D HPLC, nano LC, UFLC) for mass spectrometry; the GCMS-QP2010; and the GPC-Maldi.
A press conference scheduled for 1 June at 10am will provide more information about these products.
Shimadzu will also present 42 posters in a variety of sessions, covering: biomarker discovery; lipids: methods/profiling; natural products; and glycoproteins.
It will also host a lunchtime seminar from 12-1pm on 2 June, with topics including 'Axima Resonance - New Breakthroughs in the Tandem Maldi TOF Characterization of Biomolecules' and 'Optimizing Matrix Deposition for MS Imaging using a CHIP-1000 Chemical Inkjet Printer'.
