Scientifica has launched the Slicescope Pro system, offering a cost-effective approach to motor-controlled electrophysiology.
The Slicescope Pro features a highly stable compact platform, a narrow profile, and full motor control of objective, condenser and micromanipulators.
The system comes with pipette 'follow' software, which allows the manipulators to move at the same time as the microscope stage or platform so that the pipettes are always in the field of view.
The Slicescope's rugged, smooth motion crossed-roller bearings and the high performance drive system (with resolution of 20nm) ensures stability and repeatability.
Scientifica integrated its linear drive technology for low electrical noise, and the system recorded less than 1um drift in 2 hours, making it ideal for slice recording and electrophysiology experiments.
It accepts a wide range of Olympus optics, accessories and light sources.
Experimental techniques include patch clamping, sharp electrode recording, microinjection, stretch testing and other procedures requiring high image clarity.
The system is available directly through Scientifica UK, or its worldwide distributor network.
