Lablogic Systems has added Agilent fraction collectors to the list of systems that are supported by Laura 4 radio chromatography software.
Included are collectors for Agilent's 1100 and 1200 series high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems: G1364A (automatic), G1364B (preparative), G1364C (analytical) and G1364D (micro).
Laura 4 can be set to activate the fraction collector by time or volume, and to collect peaks by monitoring either the radio or UV channel.
In addition, the user can set up a bespoke timetable for the fraction collector to operate within a run, and configure it relative to the number of fractions to be collected, such as when using well plates.
Lablogic has worked with equipment manufacturers to ensure that Laura can support (currently) more than 100 HPLC and liquid handling modules.
More than one HPLC station can be operated by a single PC, and data from TLC analysers and liquid scintillation counters can be input either directly, or via disk transfer to enable data to be compared, interrogated and reported.
Similarly, the new report generator allows the user to choose which columns to use and in what order, and to specify the degree of decimal precision to be reported.
Laura's SDA feature, which gives a detailed visual presentation of data while maintaining strict GLP compliance, has been enhanced in release 4 by increasing the number of levels of adjustment available from 12 to 100.
This makes it easier to improve detail without smoothing data, so the smallest of peaks is shown with unmatched definition against background while leaving the raw data unchanged.
