NPK Spectron has launched the new version of its software for spectrochemical analysis that can be downloaded free.
Using the software, researchers can easily find out the equations of matrix effect correction.
By example of adaptation to metals analyser ARL 3460, the program easily finds out the influencing elements, regression equation and coefficients of matrix effect.
The software is intended to organise spectrochemical analysis of new complex alloys but will be useful in increasing reliability of existing analysis.
A mathematical method, 'Consideration of Unnotified Concentrations', is also offered.
The significance of this method is demonstrated by the graphs on the company's website, and it is also possible to download the software from this source.
This software can be adapted to spectrometers that are equipped with photomultipliers and by interface COM port for connection of spectrometer and computer.
