These targets are plastic single-use Maldi substrates manufactured from conductive polymeric material for consistent Maldi performance.
They consist of a high-quality reproducible metalised target surface and are manufactured to high tolerances for reliability.
The targets are supplied in a 48-well microscope slide format, making them suitable for either manual or automated robotic sample spotting.
Fleximass-DS targets are designed for use with the purpose-built Precision adaptor, which can be loaded with four targets, enabling the analysis of up to 192 samples in a single session.
These targets are claimed to be cost effective in comparison with traditional stainless-steel substrates.
There is no requirement for cleaning prior to use, minimising sample preparation time.
Carryover issues from sample to sample are also eliminated.
Fleximass-DS targets are suitable for most types of Maldi sample and matrices and may be used with the following Axima systems: Assurance, Confidence, Performance, Resonance, TOF2, LNR, CFR, CFRplus and QIT.
