LTE Scientific has been awarded a GBP600,000 contract to equip the new Easter Bush Research Consortium (EBRC) building with six large-capacity autoclaves.
Two of the autoclaves will be pit-mounted 6,000-litre units with chambers of 2,200mm x 1,200mm x 2,275mm HWD, which will be housed in the EBRC's GBP60m building on Edinburgh University's Easter Bush Veterinary Campus, which is due for completion in 2010.
The six LTE autoclaves will be pivotal in providing sterilisation services for the centre and, once installed and commissioned, will serve the needs of the 500 scientists who will be moving there from the Roslin Institute and the Scottish Agricultural College.
The company, which is ISO9001 and UKAS accredited, manufactures autoclaves from a 30-litre capacity and serves the laboratory markets and the medical sector with central CSSD installations.
