Bioo Scientific has announced the immediate availability of AIR Adenylated Linkers, 5'adenylated linker oligos that facilitate microRNA (miRNA) cloning and sequencing.
According to the company, miRNAs are small, single-stranded RNAs that regulate gene expression by partial complementary base pairing to specific mRNAs.
Within the last few years, research has begun to elucidate the role that miRNAs play in cancer and other diseases.
This type of analysis is also used to identify biomarkers and disease signatures.
Dr Masoud Toloue, senior scientist at Bioo Scientific, said: 'These linkers are modified to prevent self ligation and can improve miRNA cloning efficiency, precluding the need for ATP.
'They can be adapted to any custom sequence the user wishes, making miRNA library construction easier than ever.' Pre-designed AIR Adenylated Linkers are available with Ban-1, Ava-1, Sty-1 or EcoR-1 restriction sites.
Both the custom and pre-designed AIR Adenylated Linkers are designed to improve miRNA cloning strategies.
