Analyze IQ Limited and Ocean Optics have announced a partnership under which Ocean Optics will market and sell the Analyze IQ software suite.
The software will allow Ocean Optics' customers to perform detailed analyses of molecular spectroscopy data.
It is particularly designed for working with complex mixtures, including qualitative analyses such as materials verification, and quantitative analyses such as estimation of concentrations of components in mixtures.
An extensive library of Raman spectra is also available.
The Analyze IQ product suite includes: Analyze IQ Lab, a software package for chemometric analysis of Raman and other molecular spectroscopy data that allows examination of spectra, model-based analysis of spectra and generation of analytical models; Analyze IQ Spectra Manager, a spectral database and data management package that allows users to manage a library of spectra; Analyze IQ Raman Library, a library of 1870 Raman spectra lab materials and mixtures, including the exact composition of each material, along with all associated data.
Analyze IQ software suite provides analysis techniques for accurate analysis of complex mixtures, as well as standard chemometric methods.
It incorporates features to enable chemometricians to use advanced analytical techniques in their work while minimising risk of errors, such as automatically applying appropriate pre-processing steps when analysing a spectrum with a model, and its step-by-step model-building wizard.
It provides improved data exploration for analysts, as it provides visual insight into classification results.
It can operate as a standalone spectral analysis package or can be embedded into existing commercial instrument software or analysis software packages.
Its model-based approach has low CPU and memory requirements relative to direct data matching, making it particularly suitable for use by non-specialists with portable Raman systems in the field, and process monitoring systems deployed in manufacturing environments.
Analysis of a spectrum with an Analyze IQ model is a fully automatic process, without any manual interventions such as spectral subtraction or pre-processing, so that deployed models can be used easily by operators who do not have specialist training.
Spectra Manager allows the storage of CAS numbers, IUPAC names, common names, information about physical properties of materials, and quality assurance and tracking information.
For mixtures, Spectra manager can store all relevant composition data, so that mixtures that use the same materials can be tracked by lot numbers, and all samples containing a specific material, in pure form or in a mixture can be selected.
