Lablogic Systems is to demonstrate its Petra laboratory information management system (Lims) at the 2009 European Association of Nuclear Medicine Annual Congress in Barcelona on 10-14 October.
Petra Lims is said to be suitable for all tracer production and quality control (QC) laboratories, from research centres to commercial tracer manufacturing suites.
The system interfaces with all equipment in a PET production facility, including cyclotron, synthesis instruments, dose calibrator, balances and pH meter, providing data collection, storage and reporting.
Lablogic Systems said Petra Lims takes the place of laborious and potentially inaccurate manual recording of data for all aspects of the process, producing instead a single batch report for all stages - production set-up, material preparation, each stage of synthesis and final release of the product.
