Lablogic has announced that there has been an enthusiastic response to its Betaram 5 radio-HPLC flow-through detector from pharmaceutical development companies and contact research organisations.
The tubing, mixing components and low dead-volume fittings within the Betaram 5 have been optimised for low flow rates to ensure the best peak shape and definition.
The on-board Stop Flow facility is said to eliminate time-consuming and costly liquid scintillation counting of low-level samples.
Instead, Stop Flow, in combination with Laura radiochromatography software, optimises the counting time in the detector flow cell.
The Active Counting Mode complements the latest UHPLC methodologies by using a simplified heterodyne model to monitor and adjust run conditions in real time.
This is said to give better signal-to-noise ratios for low-level samples than possible with conventional radio HPLC.
