Millrock Technology has announced the expansion of its freeze-drying product offering with the Auto-Dry freeze dryer, the Millrock NMR90 sample cooler, and the Tempo series freeze dryer.
Auto-Dry is a freeze-drying optimisation package that generates a baseline protocol based upon user input of product information.
Once the baseline protocol is established, the freeze dryer automatically adjusts the shelf temperature to minimise the freeze-drying time while keeping the product below its critical temperature.
It automatically detects the end of primary drying and advances to secondary drying.
Either a conservative or an aggressive profile can be selected to optimise the cycle.
To further enhance the process, a melting monitoring subsystem is available.
Auto-Dry comes standard with batch summary reporting and one year of free software upgrades as more features become available.
The Millrock NMR90 sample cooler provides sample temperature cooling for NMR applications.
This mechanically refrigerated system maintains a constant temperature of a supplied gas stream to -90C.
When dry air or dry gas (nitrogen) passes through the NMR90, it is cooled by the mechanical refrigeration system.
The flexible delivery line allows the positioning of the air stream for proper temperature control of the sample.
The delivery line is non-magnetic, for use with any NMR magnet.
The Tempo series uses the Titan control system, which is a self-contained, touch-screen system, offering many of the features of a standard PC/PLC setup.
The control system combines PLC hardware and software to provide a user-friendly available.
Millrock Technology said the Tempo series freeze dryer offers a superior shelf system and exposed condenser, making the Tempo a high-throughput system for laboratory and small production batch applications.
