Chromex Scientific has released the latest addition to its range of Eximo syringe filters.
The new 4mm Eximo syringe filters are suitable for sample volumes of 1mL or less and are a cost-effective way to remove unwanted contaminants from analytical samples prior to injection, according to the company.
The Eximo 4mm syringe filters complement the existing range of 30mm, 25mm and 13mm filters and are available in 0.22um and 0.45um with a choice of PES, nylon, PTFE, PVDF and CA-CN membranes.
Chromex has also announced the launch of Sepax Technologies' Zenix size-exclusion columns (SECs).
Utilising proprietary surface technologies, Zenix SEC phases are made of uniform, hydrophilic and neutral nanometre-thick films chemically bonded on high-purity and mechanically stabilised silica with a particle size of 3um.
The company claims that the 3um particle offers increased efficiency over larger particles.
The controlled surface chemistry is said to result in excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility.
The bonding chemistry, coupled with the maximised bonding density, allows Zenix SEC to provide high stability and negligible non-specific interactions.
Zenix columns are available in 100A, 150A and 300A and in 4.6mm, 7.8mm, 10mm and 21,2mm id.
Typical applications for Zenix SEC columns include the separation and analysis of biological molecules and water-soluble polymers in aqueous buffers.
