Signatec has brought out the DR2800 signal-recording system platform, which can sustain 2.8GB/s of data recording directly to a high-speed RAID system.
The DR2800 is suitable for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) wideband flight recorder and advanced optical coherence tomography (OCT) industries.
It achieves its data-recording rate by combining two or more of Signatec's PCI Express (PCIe)-based high-speed analogue signal digitisers to continuously record 2800MB/s of 8- or 14-bit data for the entire six to 96 TB RAID volume without breaks in the signal record.
Signatec's DR2800 delivers standard Windows and Linux file systems, depending on the chosen operating system (OS); this offers maximum compatibility for data analysis with standard signal-processing programs such as Matlab.
Custom programming development options are available to ensure the DR2800 is a highly flexible platform for any high-speed signal-recording application.
