Instrumentation Laboratory (IL) has announced its second 'Illuminations' web seminar will be held on 26 May 2010.
It will feature Dr Anthony Napolitano presenting 'Whole Blood Bilirubin Screening at the POC Improves Neonatal Outcomes and Workflow Efficiency'.
The webinar will focus on the essential components for successful implementation and management of total bilirubin testing at the point of care.
Hyperbilirubinemia and other jaundice-related illnesses can lead to costly hospital readmissions and increased patient risk.
Dr Anthony Napolitano, a specialist in neonatology, will analyse current bilirubin testing methodologies and discuss the impact of adding point-of-care, whole blood total bilirubin testing on workflow efficiencies and in improving patient outcomes.
The programme qualifies for 1.0 Professional Education Program hour through PACE (Professional Acknowledgement for Continuing Education) and the AARC (American Association for Respiratory Care).
To register for the webinar, visit IL's website before 24 May.
German language interpretation of the presentation will be available through a separate audio-conference phone number, provided upon registration.
