Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has released Labsolutions 5.3, a software suite providing a highly configurable, unified operating environment for LC and GC systems.
This next-generation chromatography workstation is designed to be easy to use and is compliant with new regulatory guidelines.
With Labsolutions 5.3, a small-area network of up to 16 LC/GC systems can be configured, allowing for operation of any instrument on the network from any PC on the network.
This enables greater flexibility, better access to information and improved management capabilities.
It increases productivity and makes overall operations easier by enabling users to control LC and GC systems on a common platform for simple, unified operation.
Labsolutions 5.3 supports Shimadzu's range of HPLC instrumentation, including Nexera UHPLC, Prominence HPLC/UFLC, integrated LC-2010HT, the LC-VP series and select GC instruments, including the recently introduced GC-2010 Plus.
It also supports high-speed (100Hz) data acquisition for Shimadzu's photodiode array, UV-Vis and fluorescence detectors.
The automation features reduce time spent on basic, yet crucial, system operations, including auto-startup, system check, auto-purge, baseline check, action with SST or QC results and auto-shutdown.
The comprehensive results window lists peak information, quantitative results and statistic calculations of a series of data.
The Data Browser function offers an optimum environment for review of separations and peak shape between multiple chromatograms, as well as the ability to manipulate chromatograms from multiple detectors.
Labsolutions 5.3 supports the QC check by accuracy percentage, which is required for compliance purposes.
A range check is included to determine whether a quantitative value falls within the range of the calibration curve.
Labsolutions 5.3 allows users to customise screen icons and layouts according to preferences and workflow.
System administration features such as system policy, user administration, log browser and audit trail are provided to assist users in FDA 21 CFR 11 compliance.
When used in combination with the optional CLASS-Agent Manager, this software meets the Part 11 requirements for electronic records and electronic signatures for review, approval and long-term storage of data.
Labsolutions 5.3 can automatically register PDF files into the database to support paperless operations in an analytical lab.
It allows the creation of reports such as chromatograms, calibration curves, quantitative results, summary reports and data-analysis reports.
A substantial selection of pre-installed report format templates makes it easier to create the desired report format.
