The Viscolab 3000 contains a piston-style electro-magnetic sensor and RTD that provides continuous viscosity, temperature and temperature compensated viscosity (TCV) readings.
Measurements can be made in any of twelve 20:1 viscosity ranges.
Viscosity can be displayed in either centipoises or centistokes, while temperature can be displayed in degrees Centigrade or Fahrenheit.
Integrated temperature control allows user measurements at any setting from slightly above ambient to 180C and from ambient to -40C with optional cooling jacket.
According to Cambridge Viscosity, the sensor is easily calibrated.
Multiple operating ranges and product set-ups can be precalibrated.
Data can be output to a PC, via the RS-232 serial port for tracking, storage or graphical display.
The electronics allow the user to define temperature and viscosity display units, data averaging interval, density and much more.
The electronics also provide digital readings, as well as statistics on sample stability that allow greater repeatability between tests and operators.
