Csols is pleased to announce that Links for LIMS now supports the integration of Olympus Urine Analyzer instrument links to Thermo-Fisher Labmanager iLIMS.
Urine testing laboratories need high-throughput instrument integration software for linking their Olympus urine analysers to LIMS.
Bar-coded samples are loaded into racks and fed almost continuously onto the instrument.
As the instrument scans each sample, it sends a request to Links for LIMS for which components to analyse.
Links for LIMS (L4L) interprets the request and gathers all the necessary data from any LIMS and passes it back to the instrument.
Simultaneously, L4L collects results as they are produced and displays them to the user.
AQCs are checked against limits and when the analyst has reviewed them, an approval action will send the results to LIMS.
All AQC results are sent to a separate AQC system.
A surprising range of automation and integration requirements can be met with Csols' fully configurable standard product, Links for LIMS that requires absolutely no user programming to implement.
Links for LIMS is a highly configurable, easy to implement and simple to use instrument interfacing and integration product.
Some similar applications require the user to utilise embedded scripting tools (languages such as Basic) to create usable solutions.
It is important to consider the onerous validation issues created when allowing users to generate such custom programs.
As a 'rule of thumb', Csols' experience shows that it is almost always financially worth integrating with LIMS if the instrument reports more than 100 results per day.
In addition to cost benefits, there is demonstrably improved analytical quality, faster turnaround and better analyst job satisfaction.
