ProSim has launched new and improved BatchReactor, its software for the simulation of batch chemical reactors
ProSim, a Toulouse-based firm providing process simulation and optimisation software to the process industries, has announced the release of a completely new version of BatchReactor, a simulation software for batch chemical reactors.
The software combines equipment modeling, reaction engineering, and advanced numerical methods to create a realistic simulation environment for chemists and chemical engineers.
According the the company, use of the software is a key part of integrating any batch process development strategy.
It enables anyone working in the chemical, pharmaceutical or specialty chemicals industries to simulate alternative synthesis routes and new production strategies in parallel with their lab and pilot plant experimentations.
The simulation software can also be used at different stages of the process development such as when designing a new process to find the optimal operating conditions.
It features a flexible and efficient thermodynamic package and relies on proven numerical methods.
The thermodynamics is managed by ProSim's recognised physical properties and phase equilibrium calculation server: Simulis Thermodynamics.
