Fortis Technologies has produced a new technical note showing the use of HILIC stationary phases for retention and resolution of polar analyte molecules.
Fortis HILIC column has the ability to retain highly polar compounds which struggle in traditional reversed phase, such as nitrogen rich Melamine in baby milk or Catecholamine’s.
All of these are shown to retain well by this high surface area phase, good sensitivity is achieved in relation to the detection method whether UV or MS.
