SPECTRO’s OES technology claims to provide greater carbon measurement accuracy.
The product is designed to combine the performance of a traditional combustion analyser with the speed and ease-of-use of OES methodology.
Incorporated in the company’s SPECTROLAB and SPECTROMAXx systems, it is claimed to precisely determine carbon in cast iron, even on suboptimal samples, with results comparable to those achieved with combustion analysis.
Further features include an analytical carbon line and a related reference line, in combination with a modified read-out sequence.
Product features
- Digitally controlled plasma generator for more accurate and reproducible spark definition.
- UV-PLUS system which contains a hermetically sealed optical chamber filled with argon. Impurities are removed through a built-in filter cartridge.
- SPECTROMAXx is equipped exclusively with CCD technology for users who don’t need the higher sensitivity and shorter reaction time of photomultiplier detection (PMT).
