The robust instrument is capable of delivering counterfeit detection, identification and verification of samples ranging from chemical and explosive agent detection to quality control.
The system has a built-in raster orbital scanning (ROS) mode which scans a focussed beam over a wide sample area. When is ROS mode, sample compounds can be identified within nine seconds.
The IDRaman features a touch screen display, graphical interface and sampling can be accomplished using small vials or with a stand-off accessory for powder, residues and solid samples.
Additionally, the compact unit, which runs via to replaceable AA batteries, offers flexible mobility and only weighs 11 oz.
