Guidelines developed with the support of external moderators have been introduced to employees at JULABO.
Based on the company’s first vision statement from 2007, the latest guidelines have been designed to be shorter and more simple. An accompanying graphic features red focal circles and the JULABO house.
Company executive Ralf Wurth, compared the vision with a wrist watch: “Only the clock face and hands and the resulting time are outwardly visible. In a company these are the homepage, catalogue and products.”
“As a perfectly interlocking clockwork is operating behind the clock face, committed employees support JULABO’s objectives and values. The company guidelines boost functioning cooperation and meshing of the company’s wheels,” he added.
Anita Schmid approved of the new company guidelines on behalf of the works council. She said: “The guidelines are an offer for reciprocity, which includes the wishes and demands of everybody who is part JULABO.”
Company managing director Markus Juchheim is also enthusiastic about the guidelines as he feels strongly about having a company that is ruled by an open culture with flat hierarchies and respectful interaction between colleagues.
He added: “If we have clearly defined goals that are communicated to everyone, we will achieve a common understanding and quick results leading to success and ultimately our customers’ confidence in our products.”
