Supercritical Fluid Technologies presents a line of stirred reactors for high pressure chemistry.
The HPR-Series reactors are designed for performing pressurised chemical reactions in their laboratories. Potential applications include high pressure chemical synthesis and process development.
Reactors range in size from 50 millilitres to 4 litres and may be operated up to 10,000 psi and 350°C. Each has a built-in mixer with a magnetically coupled impeller for optimal combining conditions.
All high pressure components are ASME rated and feature software ’high alarms’ and a rupture disc for safe operation.
The laboratory bench top models are ideal for applications where repetitive use makes convenience a necessity, such as catalytic studies, polymerisation, hydrogenation, oxidation, isomerisation, and dehydrogenation.
All sizes are supplied as ready-to-use instruments requiring only utility connections prior to operation. Products are sufficiently compact to operate in a fume hood, and modular design makes it simple to adapt to meet new or evolving application needs.
All functions for the HPR-Series Reactor are controlled by choices of three integrated RxTrol processors. The RxTrol Sr. offers advanced features utilising a microcontroller to perform all PID, ramp/soak, process trending, data acquisition, mixing and interlock functions.
The RxTrol Jr. consists of two temperature sensors (wall/interior mounting), and fuzzy logic PID temperature and mixing controls in a table top assembly. T
he RxTrol B features two temperature sensors (wall/interior mounting) and an open loop mixer speed control via 0-100% power output knob.
Additional options include speciality metals, vessel windows (up to 150 degrees Celsius operation only), additional ports, cooling coils, sample loops, stand alone pressure transducers, supercritical fluid pumps and reagent addition modules.
