Agilent's latest revision of the ChemStation Plus networked data system for GC, LC, LC/MS, CE and CE/MS techniques includes a new add-on software module for method validation
This new version of ChemStation Plus includes a new add-on software module for method validation and several quality improvements and performance enhancements that boost chemical and pharmaceutical analyst productivity as well as reduce costs.
The ChemStation Plus method validation pack provides a fully validated, off-the-shelf software solution that supports analysts in performing the entire method validation process - from planning through to presentation of the final report - without the problems associated with data transfer.
The method validation pack supports validation of analytical methods that meet ICH and Pharmacopoeia requirements, as well as the US Food and Drug Administration's ruling on electronic data records and signatures (FDA 21 CFR Part 11).
It also provides fully automated support of all Agilent analytical instruments that are controlled through ChemStation Plus.
Electronic data import is available for data originating from other vendors' equipment or from other techniques.
An additional tool allows for manual data entry of direct instrument results, such as those from balances or pH meters.
An audit trail provides for full revision management not only for the data but also for the validation process itself.
A significant new feature of ChemStation Plus is the provision to include enhanced graphics such as chromatograms and spectra in the database report.
Version 8 of the Oracle database and support of the Windows 2000 operating system are also included.
In addition to the new add-on module and new features of ChemStation Plus, a new licensing structure for client/server configurations means considerable cost savings.
For example, smaller installations can expect savings up to 10%, and larger installations with 15 users or more can save as much as 30% on the initial purchase price of client/server software and client licenses.
The product is available immediately (note: original information incorrectly gave an August 2002 shipping date).
