Matrix LIMS Version 4 supports a new object called a test group enabling one or more tests to be associated with a test group.
Through supporting test groups Matrix LIMS Version 4 may be used to manage processes and process steps such as those required in the preparation of a sample e.g weighing a sample amount, extracting with a volume of solvent, adding a given volume of reagent etc Each of these steps can be defined allowing entry of information, with date, time and user identification stamps, as the step is completed.
The resulting step-by-step audit trail within the process is a must for any laboratory operating in a regulated environment.
Process Steps allows the step order to be defined and limits to be applied to each piece of data that is entered in the same way as limits are specified for laboratory tests.
