Successful commercial Lims must provide a means to tailor their function and appearance without employing expensive, hard to support custom programs
Autoscribe has announced the availability of a new suite of configuration tools within the latest version 4.0 of its Matrix Lims.
While all laboratories have similarities, no two are exactly alike.
In order to match the differences in functionality and workflow encountered in 'real world' applications, successful commercial Lims must provide a means to tailor their function and appearance without employing expensive, hard to support custom programs.
Widely acknowledged as the easiest and most powerful configuration tools available, Matrix customers appreciate their ability to make adjustments to their systems to match their changing business needs.
The new configuration tools enable users to simply and rapidly populate new list boxes, employ different counters (sample numbering systems) and create and link new screens/menus, to provide different paths and workflows within their Lims.
Matrix 4 takes these capabilities to a new level of productivity, with the addition of a configuration wizard to speed up the process of screen design.
This wizard is linked to an on-line database of the controls and options available for any class of screen.
To document changes made to the system, a productivity enhancing 'one-button' graphic report automatically describes the contents and purpose of each screen.
This will be of significant interest to users operating in regulated environments.
