The new and very successful partnership between Biochrom and its amino acid analyser distributor for the Scandinavian countries, Bie and Berntsen with subsidiaries Tillquist and Instrument Teknik has made rapid inroads into that market.
A 30% increase in Biochrom 30 analyser sales in 2002 reflects the excellent reputations of both distributor and manufacturer in the region. Most instruments will be used in the highly competitive area of feedstuffs analysis.
According to Mark Longster, Biochrom's business manager for AAA, with this and similar solid increases in sales elsewhere Biochrom has established itself as the market leader in dedicated amino acid analysis around the world.
The Biochrom 30 is a compact, bench-top analyser, incorporating a number of hardware innovations like new ceramic pump heads for high pressure operation, new technology valves and Peek components in critical locations.
These enhancements have improved reliability to the extent that the Biochrom 30 should show a significant reduction in running cost over the lifetime of the instrument.
Also new is the Biosys software, with an intuitive graphical user interface that allows easy method creation, gives real-time hardware status information and control, and is fully integrated with the data handling software.
