Amino acid analysers will be installed across China, the majority used for feedstuffs analysis in Sichuan, Chengdu, Wuxi and Wuhan
Following a visit last September by senior Chinese officials to Biochrom's headquarters on Cambridge's Science Park, the company has secured its first orders from China for the Biochrom 30 amino acid analyser.
The instruments will be installed across China, the majority used for feedstuffs analysis, an important application area for AAA in which Biochrom now claims market leadership.
Four units will be used for grain analysis, in Sichuan, Chengdu, Wuxi and Wuhan.
According to Mark Longster, Biochrom's business manager for AAA, the favourable cost per analysis achievable with the Biochrom 30 and competitive system pricing were major factors in securing the order.
The Biochrom 30 is a compact, bench-top analyser, incorporating a number of hardware innovations like new ceramic pump heads for high pressure operation, new technology valves and Peek components in critical locations.
Also new is the Biosys software, with an intuitive graphical user interface that allows easy method creation, gives real-time hardware status information and control, and is fully integrated with the data handling software.
