Thermal IR camera specialist Cedip Infrared Systems has announced its fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth in international sales
In 2004, Cedip achieved revenue growth of more than 12% compared to 2003 with export sales accounting for 70% of turnover. Reflecting on this success, company president Pierre Potet commented: "our continuing strong organic growth has been driven by new products introduced over the last year including the Ruby night vision camera, the Emerald large format cooled camera, and also to the consolidation of our sale organisation in the USA.
"Cedip's future looks to be very positive with the recent introduction of the revolutionary Silver thermal IR camera series and the opening of a new subsidiary company to increase support to and further develop our growing base of customers in German speaking markets".
To support its continuing growth, Cedip also announced a major investment in a new building at its Croissy Beaubourg (France) headquarters.
The new facility increases the floor area by some 30% to around 2000m2.
Within the new investment Cedip will proceed with the installation of a new clean room and will expand its assembly and calibration area.
A new state-of-the-art testing and environmental facility will be set-up that will enable the company to test and fully qualify internally its systems according to the CE and Mil standard.
Vibration testing, EMI, temperature and humidity test equipment will be also be installed.
Cedip will also expand its radiometric calibration capability with a new temperature calibration chamber capable of fully automated processing of batches of cameras.
The total investment is worth more than €1 million.
