Application note discusses the importance of the analysis in the light of increasingly stringent legislation and sulphur's deleterious effects on engines
CE Instruments announces a new application note for the analysis of low level sulphur in petrochemicals.
This is of particular importance where the presence of sulphur in diesel fuel causes wear in diesel engines due to the corrosive nature of its combustion by-products and increases the amount of deposits in the combustion chamber and piston.
Active sulphur in fuel also tends to attack and corrode injection system components.
New legislation requires lower levels to be determined, this application note details how this can be done on CE Instruments's Flash EA1112.
