Cetecom and SGS Japan announce their recent agreement to build a Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) in Japan.
Cetecom Spain will supply test systems for the test facility and will also provide technical assistance, consultancy and training.
The test laboratory will be established using the Bite family of test platforms.
It is planned to have this facility up, running and fully operational during September 2003.
"This is good news for the Japanese Bluetooth industry because it will have a first class facility with the most competitive tools and equipment to fulfill the qualification process.
"We do see Japan as one of the most important markets for the Bluetooth wireless technology and we are glad to have more of our technology in SGS Japan", said Fernando Hardasmal, Cetecom's deputy general manager.
"This new step consolidates the firm decision of SGS to become a leading player in the telecommunications testing industry and we are proud to contribute through this agreement".
SGS Japan's comments "The establishment of this new Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility in Japan is part of SGS global strategy to develop a network of state-of-the-art laboratories in the most important markets for wireless technologies.
