Deloitte has become a premier sponsor for Cordia-EuropaBio Convention, which takes place 2-4 December 2003 in Vienna
Deloitte's decision to be a major sponsor of Cordia has been driven by the convention's successful build-up among the international biotech community, putting it on course to represent a major global event for the industry.
Stuart Henderson, partner at Deloitte, who will chair the closing plenary of the conference on 4 December 2003, commented: "This year has been an exciting one in the European biotech sector.
"Several high profile product successes, encouraging clinical trial results and a long overdue kick-start to consolidation have led to a feeling of optimism within the sector".
Cordia-EuropaBio convention 2003 has attracted major interest within the industry around the world.
"In addition to the USA and Australia, ever more countries from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are joining our event", said Hugo Schepens, secretary general for EuropaBio and chairman of Cordia's steering group.
He added: "Cordia is on track to become the major international forum needed by the biotechnology industry in Europe." Cordia's exhibition will combine national pavilions with independent stands featuring leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and key industry advisors including VCs, lawyers and consultants.
The growing list of countries that will be represented so far includes Austria, Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Cordia will take place from 2-4 December 2003 in Vienna, Austria.
