Accreditation ensures the laboratory and its clients that the defined standards for performance based on examination of a variety of criteria have been met
Environmental Science Corporation obtained American Industrial Hygiene Association certification on 1 December 2004. Accreditation by AIHA/Emlap ensures the laboratory and its clients that the defined standards for performance based on examination of a variety of criteria have been met.
The accreditation also ensures that the laboratory becomes part of an elite group of laboratories achieving and maintaining a high level of professional performance.
"Accreditation through the AIHA/Emlap programme, along with our accreditation through the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation, demonstrates to our clients how committed we are to the highest industry standards possible," said Trevor Lumley, director of biological services for ESC.
"We are the only AIHA/Emlap accredited mould laboratory in Tennessee, Kentucky, or North Carolina, and one of the very few labs in the country to hold accreditations through both AIHA/Emlap and A2LA".
ESC holds certification through numerous state and national programmes and is the only environmental laboratory that is certified to perform work throughout the continental USA from a single facility.
It is listed as one of the top 10 US environmental laboratories in the Environmental Laboratory Washington Report.
