New range of accessories for powder rheometer, which streamline powder assessment, will be launched in November 2004 at the AAPS meeting in Baltimore
At the 2004 AAPS annual meeting and exposition (7-11 November 2004, Baltimore, USA), Freeman Technology will launch the first in a new range of accessories to automate the company's FT4 powder rheometer.
The automated aeration accessory, for use in measuring the flow properties of aerated powders, will eliminate the need for operator intervention - thus removing the major source of measurement variation and error.
It is the first in a series of new 'plug and play' accessories designed to bring full automation to all FT4 powder testing processes.
This advance has been made possible by the recent development at Freeman of a highly sophisticated universal control card.
This provides a seamless interface between the instrument, the accessory and the user.
Existing and new users of the FT4 powder rheometer will be able to add a range of accessories that streamline powder assessment, bringing ever closer Freeman's goal of providing the pharmaceutical market with a universal powder testing solution.
The FT4 is widely used within the pharmaceutical industry, and has applications that range from the quality control of incoming raw materials through formulation, including the determination of granulation end-point and scale-up.
