Register for up to date advice and information about the European Union's Framework Programme 6, which provides funds for research and development projects
UK organisations, including industry academia and research bodies, are being urged to 'log on' or call and register to be kept up to date on the latest information about European Union Framework Programme Six (FP6) funding for research and development projects.
By registering with FP6UK they will receive regular news and information on how FP6 money is being used within the UK as well as being alerted to events and future calls for funding applications.
With 22 thematic areas covered by the Framework Programme keeping in touch with what's available, where and when has been almost impossible - until now. A spokesperson for FP6UK said: "We want to make sure every UK company and organisation who can benefit from the EUR17.5 billion available under the current Framework Programme knows exactly what's available to them.
"So, we have made registering quick and easy either online or by telephone. "This new database will allow us to make joined up communications with customers so they only get the information they have asked for".
All registered information will be secure and used in line with EU data protection legislation. Users will be able to view the FP6UK privacy policy containing full information about how the registered details are being used. In addition, the user will be able to nominate whether they want to receive emails and other contacts - and in what format.
