New evaporation workstation has been designed such that users of existing instruments can upgrade their units to higher capacity and improved performance
Genevac introduced at International Biotech 2003 a brand new concept in centrifugal evaporation - upgradeable instruments. Reflecting customer desire to invest in evaporation equipment without compromising future operational utility, Genevac has designed its new HT-24 evaporation workstation such that existing users of Genevac series 2 HT-8 and HT-12 instruments can upgrade their units to higher capacity and improved performance.
The HT-24 workstation comprises a twin-condenser services trolley, complete with powerful new pump and waste solvent handling system together with a software upgrade.
A combination of any two HT-8 or HT-12 series 2 evaporation chambers can be configured to boost capacity while retaining a compact footprint.
Using the HT-24 chemists will, for the first time, be able to evaporate two different solvents simultaneously, significantly speeding drying in busy HPLC and central purification laboratories.
A software upgrade adds powerful new functionality to the evaporators that allows direct display of condenser and drain status on the evaporator control screen.
The high-throughput design of the HT-24 provides capacity for up to 96 shallow-well microplates to be dried down at the same time, while capacity for standard 13x100mm fraction collector tubes is an outstanding 960 tubes per run.
