Colin Pizey has been appointed by industrial displays company Global Display Solutions (GDS), as its new sales development manager in the UK for general markets
Having worked in the electronic displays industry for more than a
decade, Colin brings with him broad experience in sales and
business management, as well as industry-specific knowledge of
the UK and European markets for GM products.
Colin joins GDS from
Retail Display Solutions where he was sales manager.
time, Colin helped to consolidate and strengthen product ranges
and oversaw a growth in sales of electronic displays and support
Prior to this, Colin was sales director for Sabre
Vision/Sabre Computers International, and European sales and
marketing manager for Universal Machine Intelligence.
TFT/LCD, public information displays (PIDs), embedded PCs, touch
screens, industrial monitors, and custom solutions for hostile
environments are just some of Colin's areas of expertise,
thereby equipping him for working with GDS customers in a wide
range of display applications including interactive kiosks,
machine control, marine, in-vehicle, medical and banking.
who lives in Berkshire with his wife and three children, joins
the GDS headquarters in Yorkshire with the remit to rapidly
increase the sales of GDS products.
Colin will be responsible for
developing sales strategies, managing and developing GM customer
accounts and providing key market intelligence.
This will include
extending the sunlight readable display products into new markets
such as forecourts, airports, train stations and also increasing
market share of GDS's extensive range of industrial TFT and
public information displays.
