The Smart Ethernet A/D products from Sensoray are the lowest cost-per-channel interfaces for strain gauges, temperature sensors, voltage or 4-20 mA to any computer with an Ethernet port.
The Smart Ethernet A/D products from Sensoray are the lowest cost-per-channel interfaces for strain gauges, temperature sensors, voltage or 4-20 mA to any computer with an Ethernet port.
They feature 16-bit resolution from either eight or sixteen differential input channels, each individually programmable for a different sensor type.
Analogue-to-digital conversion is performed in under 22 milliseconds per channel for each block of eight channels.
Model 2519 has two A/D converters.
Linearization, gain, and sensor type are software programmable, eliminating trim potentiometers and the need for board access.
Sensor field wires may be connected directly to screw terminals on the Ethernet base board.
Two temperature sensors automatically compensate thermocouples.
Calibration.
Models 2518/19 automatically self calibrate by measuring internal references.
Reference data is stored in EEPROM so the boards may be easily interchanged. Software.
The 2518/19 are supplied with the necessary Ethernet software.
An optional data logging program, QuickSense, allows easy channel definition and data readback.
The 2518/19 is supplied with SDK18 software that has a DLL.
Versions of Labview that use DLL's may use the SDK18's DLL.
Communication. The 10 Base-T network interface implements the physical Ethernet layer, the data link, network and application layers.
It supports ARP, IP, ICMP and UDP.
No communication software needs to be downloaded.
IP addresses are jumper selectable, hence, the 2518/19 will never be locked out of a network due to corrupted addresses.
The Ethernet board can process over 1500 messages per second.
Mechanical.
The 2518/19 is available with or without DIN rail hardware.
An optional NEMA-4 enclosure, 2509E, and line operated power supply, 2509PS, are also available.
Field Wiring. Sensor wires connect to removable terminal blocks that are supplied with the 2518/19.
Each sensor channel has five conductors: two for sensor power, two for voltage measurement and one for a shield.
No additional cables or breakout boards are required.
