Chromatography data system now supports more hardware and offers a range of improved features, including the return of some lost in the previous upgrade
Justice Laboratory Software announces a major revision of its suite of chromatography data systems.
Chrom Perfect Spirit now supports more hardware than ever.
Automate monitoring systems with the new Chrom Perfect alarm.
Within version 5.5.0 you can create a formatted report that specifies Alarm checking.
Play a wave file or send an email if results are out-of-spec.
Team with an output devices to actuate external valves and switches. Monitor remote instruments.
Version 5.5.0 can automatically generate a pdf file of your report.
Configure the email server to automatically send selected data files based on instrument, operator, or both.
CFR 21 Part 11 compliance is a front and centre issue for many laboratories today.
Tools have been added to Chrom Perfect Spirit version 5.5.0 to make it easier for laboratories to achieve compliance: file version, reason for change, main menu timeout, password management.
Many customers who upgraded from 16-bit Chrom Perfect to 32-bit Chrom Perfect Spirit and LSi products lamented the loss of the editable Operator field.
The new Operator field was active in secure mode (when sSecurity was turned on and users were required to log on) and automatically filled in with the user's full name.
But for users who did not operate in Secure mode the Operator field was gone.
It's back now in a configurable form.
Other features include: Auto restart - previously would restart immediately at the end of a run.
There have been enhancements in the area to await a response from the instruments before proceeding.
A great new feature for anyone doing temperature programmed runs.
Enhancements to the sequence editor include user field support with the new ability to include user specific information directly into the sequence file.
Also there are many enhancements in the sequence file spreadsheet which will result in significant time savings.
6890 set point (M68) file editor has been greatly enhanced: It was just a viewer but now it's an editor.
The autosampler and tray are now supported and random vial access is done using the vial number field in the sequence. Analysis enhancements -prompted by user requests version 5.5.0 sees many improvements in the modify components section.
The new improved interface will allow a faster and more intuitive procedure for naming and modifying components.
Auto-release of channel at the end of a sequence.
This feature is very important for larger laboratories who are CFR 21 Part 11 compliant.
It allows the system administrator to protect data as it is being acquired via a user password system.
However at the end of the analysis the data channel is automatically release without the user being present.
Thus allowing other users to immediately use this instrument.
"These are challenging times for everyone involved in laboratory instrumentation and software.
Many companies have pared back significantly or have disappeared altogether.
Justice Laboratory Software continues to thrive and has expanded its product line.
We think customers will be pleased with the new features in our latest version of Chrom Perfect Spirit software as well as with the new products and services Justice Laboratory Software has to offer" said George Schreiner, VP technology development at Justice.
