Lims users to benefit from link, allowing extraction of analytical results from scientific data management system and transfer to their preferred Lims
NuGenesis Technologies and Labtronics have announced that Labtronics LimsLink software will interface with NuGenesis scientific data management system (SDMS), providing customers with a new level of connectivity to most laboratory information management systems (Lims).
Integration at this level provides scientists with a proven connection to Lims that can be implemented with minimal configuration.
LimsLink software provides two-way communications with most major Lims.
The integration with NuGenesis SDMS allows customers to extract analytical results from NuGenesis SDMS and transfer this data to their preferred Lims system, with a seamless link back to the NuGenesis SDMS repository.
Labtronics LimsLink software also provides a mechanism for NuGenesis SDMS to capture serial data (balances, titrators, pH meters, etc) and store it securely in the NuGenesis database in parallel to reporting this data to Lims.
The combination of these technologies allows customers to better leverage the data stored in the NuGenesis database and takes another step towards the paperless laboratory. "Integration between NuGenesis SDMS and Lims has been an area of strong interest for our customer base," says Dave Levy, vice president, product management for NuGenesis Technologies.
The connectivity provided by LimsLink minimises the amount of customisation required for seamless operation between NuGenesis SDMS and Lims, making it easier for Lims users to improve productivity and compliance".
Robert Pavlis, president of Labtronics, noted "The LimsLink interface with NuGenesis SDMS provides laboratories with an interfacing solution that ensures the security of their data and maintains 21 CFR Part 11 compliance as they transfer information between their instruments, NuGenesis SDMS and their Lims."
