The Spectrode from Metrohm is suitable for complexometric titrations in which other sensors frequently do not operate optimally, and offers selectable wavelength at 525 or 610nm
Photometric titration is used wherever an electrochemical endpoint indication is unsuitable for whatever reason - such as danger of glass breakage in the food laboratory.
However, the main application area lies in complexometric titrations in which other sensors frequently do not operate optimally.
The photometric endpoint indication also offers an alternative when gradual changes in colour intensities have to be assessed quantitatively.
Compared with the human eye, the photometric indication method is appreciably more sensitive and allows smaller amounts of substance to be determined.
At the same time, errors due to the operation can be excluded.
The Spectrode can be attached to all Metrohm titrators.
