The sample is measured directly, which means that the carryover of Na+ contaminants is eliminated. Due to its outstanding selectivity for Na+ ions the cross-sensitivity towards other cations and protons in particular is greatly reduced.
This means that the polymer membrane also provides correct values in neutral and acidic solutions.
The polymer membrane ISE is immediately ready for use, a long conditioning period is not necessary.
The sodium-selective polymer membrane electrode is outstandingly suitable for measurements in the following samples: * mineral water * tap water * aqueous solutions with Na+ concentrations <10 ppm * foodstuffs.
