Mettler Toledo launches new range of analytical balances, microbalances, and ultra-microbalances which it says set a new benchmark in analytical weighing
Mettler Toledo has launched a range of the new AX analytical balances, MX microbalances and UMX ultra-microbalances. Incorporating revolutionary hands free operation, multi-user configuration and internet capabilities, the AX is set to become the new benchmark in analytical weighing.
The range of balances which replace the AT, MT and UMT models offer high maximum loads up to 510g with very accurate readability to 0.1microgram.
This means that some models have up to 50 million divisions of resolution.
Reliability is assured due to the innovative MinWeigh application, which warns the user if the weight is below the lower limit in a weighing operation.
The built-in proFACT automatic calibration system counteracts any environmental influences that may affect the weighing result.
When the balance goes outside set tolerances, it uses built-in weights to recalibrate itself automatically.
Each balance can be configured to suit specific tasks or users ensuring that the work is faster and more reliable.
Up to eight different parameters - users or methods - can be set.
Another first is the touch screen display, making configuration and operation of the balances very simple. The unique SmartSens feature comprises two sensors, one at each side of the weighing chamber.
If a hand approaches, the chamber automatically opens.
When the hand is removed and passed over the SmartSens for a second time, the glass-weighing chamber doors slide shut and the weighing process starts.
Each sensor can be individually configured not only to open and close the chamber doors, but also for performing taring, printing and weighing operations.
In addition to the standard software packages supplied with the balances, new software releases can be downloaded from the internet, free of charge.
This guarantees that the balances are always up to date and safeguards investment.
The website also provides hints and tips on balance operation and applications.
