5 million pixel camera offers complete manual control over aperture, shutter speed and focus to give maximum flexibility for photomicrography
The Camedia C-5050 is a high performance camera ideal for photomicrography recording and archiving in microscopy, with a 5 million pixel 1/1.8 inch CCD delivering superbly detailed images. Complete manual control over aperture, shutter speed and focus gives maximum flexibility for photomicrography.
Sharpness control can also be left to the camera's automatic TTL iESP (intelligent Electro Selective Pattern) contrast detection focusing system.
Digital ESP spot and multi-spot light metering are available to regulate exposure and the histogram function can be used to check the brightness distribution during shooting. White balance can be fine-tuned via nine pre-set options including four fluorescent settings, and may also be regulated manually or automatically with the TTL iESP II system.
A powerful new image processing engine enables continuous shooting of either 11 images at 1.7 frames per second, or four shots at a fast 3.0 frames per second.
The tilting LCD monitor located on the rear of the camera makes it particularly easy to view the image when the camera is mounted on a vertical microscope port.
This model is compatible with the new digital image storage standard xD-Picture Card as well as SmartMedia, Compact Flash and Microdrive standards.
It also has a USB AutoConnect audio/video interface.
A complete integration with DP-Soft software makes the system perfect for image acquisition, archiving and analysis, and rapid transmission of images to co-researchers around the world.
