As a result of continuing expansion, Oxford Biosensors has now outgrown its former site and has moved to a new facility at Oxford Industrial Park
The new location offers significant advantages, bringing together under one roof manufacturing, research and development laboratories, and office facilities.
With no staff at the time of its formation in 2000, Oxford Biosensors now employs some 30 people, all based at the new address.
The new manufacturing plant incorporates a state-of-the-art production line with a capacity in excess of 25 million electrodes per year.
Oxford Biosensors has developed a multi-sensor, dry enzyme system for low complexity, hand-held diagnostics.
Set to meet the demand for fast and accurate multi-parameter analysis at point-of-care, the system provides essential diagnostic results instantly.
The first application to be launched will be the Cardiac risk test panel with a range of other tests currently in development.
Other planned introductions include strips for liver function, neonatal testing, metabolic syndrome and statin management.
